Thanksgiving is easily one of my favorite holidays. Any excuse to cook (and eat) delicious food and spend time with family and friends is heaven for me. My baked macaroni-and-cheese recipe is awaiting being pulled out of the archives for the occasion!
Every year, I go home the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and have a Friendsgiving dinner – my friends and I have a potluck dinner complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and wine before heading out to our local Main Street for a reunion with long-lost friends visiting home for the holiday.
On Thanksgiving, Eric and I head to Virginia for a big family ‘lunch’ (which can hardly be called lunch for how much food we eat!) at my grandma’s house, then back to Maryland for dinner at Eric’s parent’s house. I like to dress nicely for the occasion, but comfort is definitely important. You definitely want to have room to accommodate the meals! Here are a few of my favorite looks for the upcoming holiday.
