The gift of giving

Every year I highly anticipate the time that I can start buying Christmas gifts. I am one of those people that gets a true pleasure out of finding the perfect gift for someone; I start thinking about gift ideas in October and I don’t give up the search until I find what I’m looking for.
It has been a tough lesson to learn that you have to understand someone’s likes and dislikes very well to get them a great gift; when my mom asks for a watch for Christmas, I know she wants something sporty rather than something sleek. My dad asks for ties and dress shirts, and that really is what he wants to find under the Christmas tree. That being said, I find it easiest to think of what a person really loves best or what they do on a regular basis and get a gift that will cater to that! Here are some of my favorite sweet gift ideas for friends:

Rifle Paper Co. Monarch Notepad and 25 Envelopes $31
Nate Berkus for Target Gold Stapler $16
Having to be at work all of the time can be exhausting. Help a friend out with a gift of adorable desk accessories that will remind her of her amazing friend while she’s stuck late on a deadline!

essie 2014 Holiday Kit $15
Arquiste® for J.Crew Perfume Rollerball $25
For the beauty-obsessed, new nail polish and lipsticks are the best gift you can get. (The adorable packaging on the Supercalifragilipstick doesn’t hurt.) I also love rollerball perfume for an easy way to try out a new scent without committing to a whole bottle!

Kate Spade Seriously Darling Idiom Bangle $78 $58 $44
LOFT Twisted Rope Necklace $45 $39 $20 no code needed
Garance Doré for Rifle Paper Co. Friends Forever Art Print $24
For a fashionable friend who is always on the go, I love this print from Garance Doré. A Kate Spade bangle is a classic piece to have, and adding a bit of glam with a statement necklace is always a good idea!
