Swatch of beauty

I recently signed up for Sephora FLASH, and I swear the subscription has already paid for itself. You get free two-day shipping for a year for just $10! This is similar to Amazon Prime, but at a fraction of the price. And just for beauty products. It’s kind of amazing.

Not to mention I have gotten tons of samples of products I may have never tried, and I wanted to feature some of them here to share my finds!

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper $33

I got a sample of this and was really excited – I’ve always considered getting a light lip plumper (nothing Kylie Jenner-esque, but a little boost), so it was nice to get to try it in sample form. After application, I felt a slight tingling akin to a minty, fresh feeling. For a gloss, I was happy to discover that it’s not very sticky, and gave off a nice shimmer that isn’t too overwhelming. I love it alone, but it can also be layered with lipstick for a bolder look. After receiving the sample, I decided to purchase the gloss! It’s definitely been worth the splurge.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal $38

I’m not new to the highlighter game, but I do usually use a stick rather than powder. This powder, however, definitely changed my tune. Its super subtle shimmer is perfect for contouring and highlighting – nothing too ‘sparkly,’ and it goes on very smooth. You can layer as you please, going from a soft glow to a bright highlight. I haven’t purchased this yet, but it’s on the wishlist for when my current highlighter runs out!

Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb $39

This serum came as a sample and I was interested to read some reviews on it. Geared toward girls in their twenties and thirties who are just starting to see signs of aging, its aim is to brighten and smooth complexions, refine pores, and leave your skin looking and feeling healthy. I have tried this for a few mornings and nights, and so far, so good. The texture of the serum is creamy and smooth, leaving no residue and drying quickly. The redness that plagues my cheeks definitely fades a bit upon use, and I’ve noticed it helps around my eyes when I’m looking tired. This is definitely a worthy find for women who don’t quite need an anti-age cream, but want to be preventative in keeping skin healthy and fresh, and smoothing their complexion.
