The time between winter and spring is always tough when it comes to getting dressed. You’re shopping gingham and bows, pastels and light fabrics, but the weather stubbornly returns to snow on the day you least expect it (first day of spring!?).
Even so, I have warm weather on the brain, and I’m so looking forward to having some cute transitional outfits that will take me from cold and windy to warm and breezy. Tobi has tons of great pieces that I’ve had my eye on ever since the first 70-degree day of the year hit.
A PRETTY PRINT: GINGHAM WITH A BOW
This dress is one of those true seasonal pieces that you can’t pull out until a certain time of year; there’s just no pulling off gingham in February! But to me, that makes it all the more exciting to wear – figuring out the exact casual-cool way to style it without being overly girly. Slides are going to be big again this year, and I’m totally obsessed with this rose gold pair. I think this will be the perfect dress to layer with denim for a bit of extra warmth.
A CLASSIC: JEANS AND A TANK
You’ll get a ton of mileage out of every piece of this outfit – the bodysuit is perfect for a night out with the strappy back, but could pair just as well with a full skirt or jean shorts once summer is in full swing. You can never go wrong with a pair of Levi’s, and I love how the rips make them modern and playful.
A LITTLE BLACK DRESS: JUST ADD SUEDE
A playful back is such a fun surprise on a high-neck dress like this one! If you add a chunky sweater, you wouldn’t even know this light dress is meant for the warmer months. That makes for a cute surprise when you take your jacket off on a sunny day. Pairing it with booties help keeps it transitional weather-appropriate.
