New for November

I can’t believe that we’re already in mid-November. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly summer flies by, but it is always disappointing! The only silver lining is that with fall comes fall fashion. I did love being able to throw on a pair of jean shorts and a t-shirt and have my outfit made, but there is something to be said for getting to pull jeans, jackets and sweaters out of storage.

There are a few key staples that I feel like my wardrobe is missing that need to be fixed before I can be fully ready for the new season.

I needed a good kick-around pair of sneakers to wear on weekends. Remember getting one pair of sneakers and wearing them nonstop? Funnily enough, I’ve repurchased a tried and true pair I loved in middle school – the Adidas Superstars. I love how comfortable they are, but they also look cool girl chic with jeans or leggings. I wear these more that I’d like to admit!

I had one of these that I absolutely adored – purchased on my first trip to NYC at H&M, which was a very big deal when I was 18. I lost it being careless at a bar in college, and I’ve regretted it ever since! While I was able to settle on a bomber jacket that nearly fit the bill, I’ve been looking for a perfect replacement. Abercrombie kind of hit the nail on the head with this Shirt Jacket, which is just heavy enough to wear around indoors or out.

It’s time for me to invest in some flat suede booties, and I’m seeking a pair with a slightly pointed toe that will be great to wear with jeans and dresses alike. When it comes to booties, I usually don’t splurge and rather get a few different pairs that are on the budget end of the spectrum. For a pair I love, I think I’m willing to spend a bit extra this year. Franco Sarto is among my favorite go-to shoe brands, so when I saw the Paivley Bootie marked down, I knew I hit the jackpot! These will be perfect for running around the city in comfort.

I was eager to find a good pair that have enough stretch, but still feel like true denim with a perfectly high-waisted cut. Enter the Mid-Rise Easy Jeggings from Gap. I bought these in-store so the word “jegging” didn’t scare me away, but these truly feel more like a regular pair of jeans than a legging. I adored them so much, I bought them in three colors (including the dark rinse and olive). Not to mention there is always a sale going on at Gap, so you can get these for a steal.

What are you shopping for this season?
