Latest obsessions

Friday is finally here! A very long workweek with lots of late nights led to a bit of slacking on my posting, but I’m excited to re-energize this weekend and come back strong. As of late, I have been finding new brands and products to love.

Whether it’s trying to be healthier, or finding the right hair routine to keep my mane tamed, I love finding products that I can obsess over and stick into my day-to-day routine. A few of my favorites as of late include:

LA CROIX

I decided to give up soda for Lent, inspired by Eric. I know how bad soda is for your body, and drinking your calories is never a good idea! In a single regular Coke, there are 33 grams of sugar. The American Heart Association recommends that women get no more than 25 grams, or 6 teaspoons, per day. Yikes.

I’ve been trying out different flavors of La Croix, which is simply flavored sparkling water. It’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up to replace a Diet Coke while helping to keep me hydrated. It works well as a mixer in drinks on the weekend, too! 🍸

GOOD HAIR DAYS

Since buying the All Soft Redken Shampoo ($29) and Conditioner ($32) set (they’re buy 2 get 1 free right now!), I can truly say my hair has never felt better. Pairing that with the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector ($28), which leaves my hair without fly-aways and feeling silky smooth, makes for the perfect combination.

While these products are a bit of a splurge, I find that it’s definitely worth it to spend a bit more on your hair. While you can always find a good deal on clothing, your hair has to be taken care of properly to stay looking its best! 💇

FITTING SWIMWEAR

I recently bought a bikini from Aerie – my first from there – the Perky Triangle Top ($27) in black. I was a bit skeptical when it came to sizing, but I went with my usual and it fits perfectly. I have been having trouble in years past with finding a flattering bikini top. I’m a 34D, and anything without fair coverage or that’s too low-cut doesn’t work for me. I love Victoria’s Secret swimwear, but their cuts tend to be a bit more skimpy. I have found a few great finds in J.Crew’s swimwear section, but was ready to branch out and try a new brand!

The cups are sturdy without being overly modest, and I feel totally comfortable moving around – not like I’m about to fall out. I love the strappy back detailing, too! The cute styles at Aerie mixed with a bit of extra structure make for the perfect swimsuits for summer. And they come in at an amazing price point. 👙
