Keep it professional

So often in summer, we resort to wearing a t-shirt dress to the office, or live in our sandals no matter the occasion. While this is definitely comfortable, it’s easy to lose the professionalism at the office.

When fall rolls around, I definitely pull out some of my more business-appropriate clothing (think ankle pants and trousers, button-downs and blazers). Classy, however, doesn’t need to mean boring.

I love wearing navy rather than black as a neutral, particularly in the transitioning seasons. It’s softer and lighter, and you can do fabrics such as suede to make it more seasonally appropriate. I also love a good metallic shoe, as it’s bright and fun without being too in-your-face. A pretty addition to gold and navy is blush – wear it as a main color in the form of a dress, or to top off a more classic tweed skirt.
