January beauty buys

If one word could sum up the first few days of 2018, it would probably be “brrrr.” I am not interested in dealing with this cold one bit, but unfortunately there’s no other choice until I can plan a trip to warmer temps. Instead of fighting it, I’ve picked some luxe beauty buys to help get me through (and fix my dry skin in the meantime).

Maracuja Oil
$16 – $48

Oils are absolutely necessary for dry skin, and I’ve fallen in love with this one! It’s cold-pressed from the maracuja fruit, which is rich in brightening vitamin C and replenishing essential fatty acids. It does a fantastic job at sealing in moisture – not to mention it smells great. I love running a bit through my hair to control flyaways and dry ends, too!

Mario Badescu
Rose Hips Mask

This is a favorite skincare brand of mine across the board, so I was thrilled to try out this mask! I’m also partial to anything and everything rose, and this definitely stood out as a lovely product. This mask is an instant skin refresh, leaving it smooth and bright. I love to use this once a week for when I need a recharge.

S.W. Basics

This is the most gentle cleanser I’ve ever used. A few swipes of a cotton ball doused in this is enough to wash away any oil-causing dirt and makeup. It’s also made up of only three ingredients (rosewater, vegetable glycerin and tea tree oil) so you know exactly what you’re putting on your face. I love using this when I don’t have time to do a full wash.
