In January, I was feeling a bit “blah” diet-wise. I was going for convenience over nutrition, lazy meals quickly thrown together rather than meal prepping. I knew I had to make an update that would get me back on track!
‘Tis the season of warm, savory foods. I find that I tend to favor comfort foods (helloooo, mac-and-cheese!), so I’m always happy to find a healthier way to indulge. In understanding how tough it can be to plan around work, exercise, friends, family and all of the rest of it, I like to have a few easier go-to recipes on hand!
Getting good at meal prep is a bit of an art. You can’t make too much of one thing or you get tired of it quickly and it goes to waste, but you want to make enough to make your planning worth it. An entirely other game, however, is trying to snack prep.
When it’s this hot outside, it can be hard to get motivated to go sweat it out at your gym class. What makes it even harder is not being ready with the right clothes for your workout.
Nowadays, there’s an app for just about everything. While I am a lover of the standard Apple apps, and the basic social media choices, I’m here to share my favorite apps that make my life a whole lot easier in the day-to-day.
As a child, I was very picky. And when I say very picky, I mean I wouldn’t even eat pizza. Nothing with sauce, no vegetables, aside from peas (which I couldn’t eat enough of), and certainly no fruit. It’s a wonder that I survived to tell the tale.
Eric and I will be moving when our lease is up come June, and I’m eagerly checking out new apartments with a bit more kitchen space. Lately I’ve been cooking and baking more than ever, and while it’s been a lot of fun, I am also realizing a few things that we’re missing that would make the experience a lot more enjoyable!
I hope everyone had an amazing holiday! I had such a fun time celebrating with friends and family. It made it really hard to come back for work these few days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve! (Especially after the plethora of sweets I ate over the holiday. 👀)
If there’s one thing that the holiday season is absolutely promised to bring, it’s a ton of delicious desserts and goodies. While this can make it hard to stay on track, I just plan on hitting the gym a couple of extra days a week to make up for my indulgent days! I love baking Christmas cookies, and this year will be no exception.
While I try my best to eat well and take care of myself, I’m always interested to learn a bit more about how to use food as a tool for making yourself look and feel your best. I came across an article on InStyle UK that listed the best foods for glowing skin. Nutritional health coach Lucie Powell, the 9to5 Foodie, gave her input on how to eat the right foods to help get a radiant complexion. After all, you are what you eat!
See the list of foods to help your complexion below, and how easy it is to fit them into your diet!
