F-R-I-D-A-Y. We made it. It has been a long, long week and I’m more than ready to have a nice relaxing weekend. This week I splurged on a couple of pairs of boots (here and here), getting both for less than $100 (!), watched plenty of Game of Thrones (I’m addicted), and organized my desk! Productive but busy. Here’s a round-up of some of my favorite finds this week.
BEAUTY BUY FOR LESS
The Cut posted an article about the cream blush that has Jenna Lyons swooning: Canmake Cream Cheek. It’s only $9 on Amazon, which makes this a totally reasonable beauty buy that’s worth a try! Use it as your everyday blush, or an easy lip stain.
ANOTHER FAST FASHION RETAILER
If you’re a fan of fast fashion, you’ll love that Primark, seller of $10 jeans and $3.50 T-shirts from the UK, will be coming to the US in September. Starting out in Boston, they soon plan to expand to Danbury, CT, Staten Island, NY, and King of Prussia, PA. With items aligned to that of Forever 21 quality and price, I’m eager to see how popular the stores will become! I try to steer away from the fast fashion that doesn’t last, but it would be a great place to shop trendy pieces.
Okay, so this totally blew my mind. Martha Stewart apparently posted this One-Pan Pasta recipe in June 2013, but I haven’t heard about it until this week! As a lover of easy meals and pasta (I mean, who isn’t?), I’m so excited to try this out. All it takes is pasta, veggies, spices, olive oil, water, fresh Parmesan, and a single skillet. Get the recipe here.
H&M’s CLOSE THE LOOP
Starting in 2013, H&M started asking customers to donate unwanted and unused clothes – and that’s just what they did. With their new line, Close the Loop, H&M has created a way to create sustainable clothing without sacrificing quality. They currently use 20% recycled cotton, but plan to continue increasing this number. With how many clothes I buy then donate each year, it’s awesome to hear a company making strides to put it to good use.
