Father’s Day gift guide

Father’s Day is coming up quickly this weekend – meaning the scramble for the perfect gift is on. I love my dad, but he is one of those guys who is nearly impossible to shop for (books and ties are his go-to response to, “Is there anything you want?”).

I’m also someone who doesn’t rest until I think of the perfect gift… So the time is now! Here are a few gift ideas for your dad on Father’s Day.

Travel Duffel

Is your dad a traveler? Always going on business trips? A weekender could be the perfect gift. Everlane makes a gorgeous Dipped Weekender that’s only $115, and has sturdy leather straps good for carrying.

Coffee Maker

Coffee is a lifestyle these days, and making a good cup of it has been made even easier with fancy (and not wildly expensive) coffee machines. The OXO On 9 Cup Coffee Maker is 25% off, making it $150. It has a sleek design, and will make mornings all the more caffeinated.

Make him the coolest guy in the office with a pair of sunglasses from Warby Parker. I love the classic look of the Upshaw Sunglasses, starting at $145 with polarized lenses. The prescription version of these sunnies is $225.

Shave Kit

As a woman, I know shaving is a hassle. I can’t imagine that it’s any better for your face, making a shave kit the perfect gift for dad. The Bevel Shave System Starter Kit is on sale for $76, and includes a razor and blades, badger brush, and everything from priming oil to restoring balm. Meaning all of the things your dad might never buy himself, but would appreciate.

Dress Shirt

Because men wear and re-wear their favorite dress shirts, they get worn out more quickly. This Royal Oxford Dress Shirt from Brooks Brothers is on sale for just $69, and is the perfect go-to shirt for every occasion.

Apple Watch

If he’s always up on the latest technology, your dad will appreciate this fun little gadget. The Apple Watch is on sale at Target for $300 – and since Apple products rarely go on sale, it might be the perfect time to buy.

Cornhole Game

There’s nothing like a casual game of cornhole on a summer night. Get your dad some handmade boards from Etsy for around $100, and pair with a fun set of bags – these patriotic ones are just $20.

If he’s always has the camcorder glued to his hand, and never misses a moment of any event – the GoPro Hero+ LCD is a safe bet. At a 33% discount, it’s a great time to buy for just $200.

Electric Toothbrush

This is a little luxury that everyone might not think to have, but it’s certainly a game changer. The Philips Sonicare 2 Series Plaque Control Electric Toothbrush is on sale for just $40, but you can also use code SONICARE10 to get another $10 off.

Leather Shoe Care Kit

I don’t know about yours, but my dad has his favorite shoe and he sticks with it. What better gift than something to increase the life of those favorites? The Shoe Tree Company for J.Crew Leather Shoe Care Kit is nearly half off at $57, and includes everything to keep leather shoes looking sharp.
