This week has been filled with gorgeous, warm days in DC. Unexpected, but so welcomed! This week I did my first Paint Nite and spent the day in Baltimore for work. This weekend, I’m looking very forward to doing a bit of hiking at Great Falls – it’s about time to get some good views of the gorgeous change in leaves! Other than that, it’s a relaxing couple of days ahead, which I’m grateful for amidst a busy month.
I absolutely love dressing up in costume, making Halloween an event to look forward to. What’s more fun than getting to wear whatever you want, look absolutely silly doing it, and fit right in with the masses? Seeing everyone else’s costumes is a huge part of the fun, too. I’m planning a bit of a throwback costume for a bash on Saturday (follow me on Instagram for my full look), then settling into the spooky holiday with a haunted house Sunday. Hope you all have scary good weekends ahead!
It’s officially chilly here in DC, which for me, instantly means boots-and-sweater weather. I’m always the one shivering regretfully after I forget a jacket, and I’ve been preparing with some fresh new finds. This weekend is homecoming at my alma mater, the University of Maryland (it’s gorgeous in the fall), and I’m excited to spend some time on campus! We also have a wedding event for friends on Sunday that I’m so excited for. Have a gorgeous weekend!
What a week! I took a few days away from the blog to really settle into my new job and use my spare time to recharge rather than try to squeeze in rushed, less than perfect posts. It’s been nice to have the freedom to really take it all in, but I’m so excited to come back fresh next week with lots of great content. After all, fall temperatures are starting to settle in, meaning my wardrobe options just broadened immensely. (Hello, boots, sweaters and denim!)
This weekend is long-awaited in my world – a dear friend and soon-to-be cousin-in-law is getting married! I’m so excited to be in their wedding at a gorgeous venue in Maryland, and the weather looks like it may just be perfect for the big day. Keep an eye out for posts and my story on Instagram (@shopfashionably) for peeks from the weekend while you enjoy pool parties and BBQs. Have a great one!
What a week! I’ve been waiting so long to share the news of my new job with everyone, and it feels great to have it finally be official. I’m happy to relax and enjoy my last couple of weeks with my old company, and prepare to jump into my next big adventure. I’m spending the weekend at home, having some friends visit for celebrations and doing some much-needed things around the house. Have a lovely weekend!
This week has felt particularly long, and I can’t wait to have a few days to shut my brain off and just relax. I also have a wedding Saturday night that I’ve very excited for (I’m going to be wearing this dress) – weddings always put me in the best mood!
Somehow the weekends seem busier than the weeks this month! It’s the first weekend in quite a few that Eric and I are happy to stay home and relax. We’re doing a bit of DIY to our old coffee table to spruce it up (hint: gold hairpin legs!) and I have major plans to repeat my breakfast from last weekend. I hope your next couple of days is looking just as lovely.
Happy Friday! This weekend I’m celebrating one of my bestie’s birthdays in Baltimore, and planning on doing some long-awaited DIY projects. Eric and I have also been shopping around for living room rugs so I’m hoping to pick one out… this turquoise overdye pick and this cream-and-gray find are definite contenders. Have a lovely weekend!
