Closet exhaustion

I’ve had a lot of “closet exhaustion” lately. I don’t seem to like more than a couple of pieces in my closet, and I’m frustrated with my lack of shoes (that are comfortable enough to commute in!). This usually means it’s time for a bit of a closet purge, and a narrowing down of select staple pieces I can’t live without.

Whether it’s pieces that were inexpensive and didn’t hold up well, or things that never really fit properly, I know doing a bit of a clear-out will help with my angst toward getting dressed every morning!

The easy part is finding new items to replace the old ones – I’m eager to find some dresses that are both work-appropriate with a jacket AND comfortable enough to keep on for after-work activities. I love this, this, this and this. I also want a few new accessories to bring some life back into the pieces I do have! I’ve been eyeing up the Tory Burch Fitbit Hinged Bracelet (motivation to be fit, and it’s gorgeous), which finally went on sale, and I’m a huge fan of Karen Walker sunglasses – there are a few other options on sale here, here and here.

I also got a pair of mules from J.Crew Factory a couple of months ago and I can’t stop wearing them! I love the true tan color, but I’ve been considering going for a pair in black. I adore how the wood heel on this pair makes the shoe more seasonally appropriate. Shop a few more select summer pieces I’d love to add to my closet below.

  1. Great fashion accessory picks:) They’re all pieces that aren’t too trendy, although the mules have come, gone, and are back again! What’s clear is that you’ve put lots of thought behind your selections, so this fashion accessories blogger gives you an A++
