My favorite month is upon us, and the weather is finally being less windy-freezing and more breezy-balmy. What’s not to love? As the weather changes, so do our beauty needs – less focus on moisturizing, and more on getting that perfectly dewy look. Shop a few of my favorite beauty purchases for April.
While I haven’t been big on buying too many new products lately, there are a few that I’ve found (or re-purchased) and really adore. When I like something, I’m so loyal to it! It may be fun to try out new products from time to time, but there’s nothing like having the go-to ones you love. This mascara is a definite “forever” find that I can’t ever see myself tiring of. Read on for some fun buys (that won’t cost a fortune).
Certain products are just worth the splurge. While I rarely buy a dress or a pair of shoes at full price, beauty products are just something you will rarely get a good deal on. I admit that I like doing a bit of cost analysis – how long is this going to last me? and how much is it? – when it comes to buying makeup and other beauty products. A face cream that may be $40, but will last 6 months. A lipstick I’ll mostly wear on special occasions or nights out should probably have a more reserved price.
Fragrances can be difficult to gift, unless you know someone’s signature scent. A pick I do love? Rollerballs.
The weather has been much cooler the past few days. I’ve been reaching for my winter coat more than I’d like (even though I do adore it), and my skin and hair are definitely noticing the extra cold breezes. Thankfully I’ve found some beauty finds to help cope.
I got a few amazing deluxe samples of anti-aging skincare products from Sephora, and they couldn’t have come at a better time. With the weather cooling down, the minor wrinkles I do have are showing themselves more than usual.
Isn’t it the best when a Tuesday feels like a Monday? I spent the weekend in an absolutely gorgeous wedding, and I loved every second. The weather was more perfect than anyone could’ve imagined for an early September day in Maryland. I did my own makeup, and it made me realize a few products that I could afford to add to my beauty bag.
Sampling beauty products is my favorite thing to do. I love getting to try something out before splurging on the full size when I know I’ll love it (and use it all). This month’s Play! by Sephora box has so many amazing products – hello, perfect smoky eye.
It has been nothing but hot, humid weather since probably June hit. It feels like we’ve finally passed the peak of heat, but the humidity still lingers. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for keeping hair sleek when it wants to be anything but.
When I was about 14, an older, supposedly wiser friend showed me the wonders of white eyeliner on the inner rim of the eye. And that’s about all of the makeup I wore for a couple of years, until I was old enough to realize this was a mistake. In high school, foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, powder and liquid eyeliner showed up on the scene. Since then, it’s been a lot of additions and not a lot of subtractions… until now.
