It has been a while since I’ve updated my beauty products. I’m flawed in that I love buying new clothes and updating my wardrobe, but I don’t feel that it’s worth it to spend money on make-up (despite the fact that I’m almost always wearing it). I do like quality products, and I’ve noticed over the years a definite improvement in what I do use. I wanted to share a few of my favorites that won’t break the bank!
Eye Shadow Duo | Sonia Kashuk | $9
I was looking for a great shadow that wouldn’t charge me $15 per shadow palette, and this is definitely it. It’s easy to tell the difference between a chalky, bumpy shadow and smooth, soft shadow – it goes on so well and stays that way all day! (Plus you can get it at Target, which is a bonus.)
Smooth the Gap! Ridge Smoothing Base Coat | essie | $10
I use this absolutely every time I paint my nails (which is often). It dries quickly so it doesn’t add much to your drying time, and it makes for a smooth manicure that lasts days longer than with polish alone!
Healthy Skin Compact Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 55 | Neutrogena | $13
So I’ve been using Neutrogena’s SkinClearing Liquid Makeup ($12) for years, but I felt like I could use a change. Something that’s a little easy to tote around for long days at work where touch-ups are required. I was wary of getting a compact, but I know I love the brand so I was hoping for the best! And I got it. It goes on smooth and gives a clean look, and has a nice powder finish.
Dry Shampoo | Dove | $5
It’s a scary thing to spray product onto your already-kind-of-dirty hair and hope that it improves. But that is exactly what this spray does. I love how easy it is to spray it in and brush it out when you’re in a bind – instant volume and hair refresh!
